Notes from JFK
I am taking advantage of Jet Blue’s excellent free wi-fi at the airport prior to boarding to give a quick update. Last night I preached at Bishop Mitchell’s church in Brooklyn. What a wonderful group of saints he has and the bishop’s hospitality was first rate. I also had another piece of Junior’s cheesecake while I was in Brooklyn.
A travel note- if you’re ever in New York, do yourself a favor and go off the beaten path. Most tourists stay in mid-town and there is really a lot to see outside of the touristy areas. I was doing some business this morning up in the Washington Heights area at the very top of the island. There is a very distinct ethnic feel (Hispanic and Caribbean) which extends to the food and shops. Very cool stuff.
Time to catch the plane. See you back in Ohio.
