The Conference that Wasn’t
I am currently cooling my heals in the lovely Newark Courtyard Hotel. Becky has a picture of the view here. We now have north of 10 inches of snow on the ground and it is snowing as I write. We hope to get out of here in the next hour.
Scott Graham was masterful last night. Although there were only about 50 people, it was still a tremendous service. He preached like there were 700 people in the audience. Simply awesome. I told him I don’t normally fly people out here to do cell groups but for him, I’d make an exception. We’ve managed to have a good time in spite of the snow.
I’m trading emails with my colleagues this morning and doing a little work while the kids enjoy the History Channel. In a stroke of brilliance last night, we decided to get the adjoining room to ours for the kids (full disclosure: I did not bill Sunday School for the additional room) so they would have their own room. They had a ball and have enjoyed telling us to stay in our own room. Not a problem.
Hopefully, I will be able to get home later this afternoon and clear the snow from my house. To my readers in Ohio, bundle up and stay warm.
