Are you Twittering?

I am a HUGE fan of Twitter. I have a badge in the side column that lists my most recent updates. So far, I have given over 1,200 updates. To me, it is almost a secondary IM system which allows me to track my friend and colleagues via the web on my computer or IM on my Blackberry. If you’re not familiar with Twitter, take two minutes and learn about it. If you do Twitter, leave your user name in the comments.

Is it Saturday Yet?

Published by donryan under Family, Work Life

I am striving to post every day, especially given the number of visitors who are coming to this site on a daily basis (thank you, Zoei).  Today was brutal.  Tax filing, conference calls, a late afternoon trip to Columbus for a catestrophic claim.  Sometimes you have to make lemonade.

I had to go to Grant Medical Center for a new case today and took the family with me (the call came at 4:00 this afternoon).  They were very patient and waited with me until 8:00 when I materialized and then another 30 minutes while I was on the phone with my partner.  My family really puts up with a lot sometimes so that I can have professional fulfillment.

As a treat, we went to House of Japan in Columbus for dinner tonight.  It is a classic cook in front of you, throw knives, start fires kind of place.  We had a great time.  First, you walk over a glass foot bridge which has fish in the pond underneath.  The blossoms thought that was way cool.  Our chef tonight was excellent and really put on a show for the kids.  The was incredible (and we even brought some home for lunch tomorrow).  It was a great way to cap a brutal week.

I have to run our payroll tomorrow and run several hundred pages of discovery (and put together a lesson for Sunday).  Breaks like tonight help me keep balance in the craziness.  I’m glad the family was able to come along.
