Two Days in Cleveland
We just returned home from two days in Cleveland. I was at a seminar obtaining continuing education hours for my nursing certification. We had a great time; Charity and the blossoms came with me. We checked in last night to the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel which is downtown at Tower City and is beautiful. It reminded me a lot of the hotels I stay at in New York City. We walked downtown to the Cleveland Chophouse for dinner. The atmosphere and food were great. I had the tuna steak with Miso butter which was stellar. We walked back to the hotel and let the kids play in the pool for a while. As a side note, the pool is located in a ten story atrium with skylights that makes you feel like you’re outside. It was very cool.
This morning, I headed over to the Cleveland Clinic for my class. It was the first time I have ever been to the Cleveland Clinic. It is impressive. Every physician, speaker, and person involved seemed to be a world renowned expert in their field. On a less academic note, there was good schwag and I won a t-shirt in the raffle (which has been pilfered by my daughter). I am also 6.75 hours closer to my continuing ed requirement. Woo who!
While I was being all academic, Charity and the blossoms went to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. I didn’t quite get all of the details on this but I understand there were dinosaurs and snakes involved so Michael’s good. What I did note is that the east side of Cleveland is a hidden gem of parks, museums and such. We will return for a visit soon.
It’s good to be home. I will not work tonight because I will be buried tomorrow. The price for taking a day off.
