Random Thoughts- Monday Edition
I’m killing time between appointments in NW Ohio this morning so here are some random thoughts from the weekend.
I am learning to take the weekend off. No, really I am. My boss and partner is taking this week off to work at band camp. She says she’s going to unplug for the week. My guess is that it will work about as well as my week off at camp (which is to say it won’t).
During the week though, I am putting in more hours and loving it. It is a blessing to be able to do what you love. The love is a bit strained due to the serious travel this week (Toledo today, NYC tomorrow, Erie on Wednesday and Thursday) but as a whole- I do love what I do.
Travel is much better when your family can come along (see Erie).
Church was great this weekend. I am reminded every weekend how fortunate I was to be able to come back to Mount Vernon 18 months ago (even though we miss Ron and Cherie every day). That is kind of bittersweet.
We had to move our Bible study to accommodate more folks who want to attend. This is a good problem to have. Frequently, I enjoy this far more than being in the pulpit. We are honored to be able to share the Word with new folks.
Those are my thoughts for now. Have a great week.
