Take Two

I’m fiddling around this morning with a new add-on to my blog software called Zemanta.  Their tagline says they help you blog smarter (insert your comment here).  What it does is add suggestions, galleries, and links to put in your post based on the characters you’ve typed in your blog.  For instance, as I have typed this post, I have suggestions for Zemanta’s logo, web articles, and other things having to do with the company.  This works with any subject like baseball, computers, nursing, or whatever you are blogging about.  Every 300 characters, the program evaluates what you wrote and provides suggestions.  It works in Blogger, Typepad, and WordPress which should pretty much cover everyone.  Best of all, it is free.  Check it out.

My friend and business colleague, Rocky VanBrimmer, has asked me to co-author a new business blog on the Central Ohio business community.  Rocky and I go way back (I’ve spoken at his church about 100 times) and have a few mutual business interests.  My first post is up over there.  Go check it out.

I was reading my blog feeds the other day (I think it was two days ago) and noticed that I received a You Make Me Smile Award from Sister Hurst in California.  This is very cool.  Sister Hurst and I have never met but we do have a connection.  Her father-in-law (Bishop Hurst) is my pastor’s wife’s (Sister Kramer) pastor.  Anyway, this officially made my weekend.  Thank you so much for the award.
