I learned of Jeremy Foster through Sister Elms‘ blog. Ever since, I have been a loyal follower. His most recent show is one from Youth Congress last week. I laughed out loud at his discussion of growing up in church. Enjoy.

A Georgia woman called the police because her dealer sold her fake crack cocaine. The story is here. I love it.
Tiffany passed away this afternoon. See the update here. Please pray for her family and our church family. Thanks.
Ohio 1 (Columbus Calvary), is the North American Junior Bible Quizzing Champion. Well done, guys!
We are at camp and have found a wireless signal. Rock on!
This was just too rich to not share. Becky and I have both posted about the wanton flocking going on in Mount Vernon. Well now, a poor group of flamingos has been taken hostage. Oh the humanity! (click the picture for a larger view)

Our flocked neighbors

Becky mentioned the youth fund raiser in her blog. Our neighbors (they aren’t actually our neighbors but they live across the alley) were a victim of the flocking. We took a picture when we went for a walk the other night. I think the youth did an admirable job. There are thunderstorms predicted today so I think we’re safe.
Last year, I got a Cuisinart ice cream maker from my American Express points. I was really happy in that I was getting a free goody. Charity reminded me that I had to put $9000 on my Amex card to get the free thing. Killjoy.
Anyhow, last night, Charity made cake batter ice cream. It tastes exactly like, well, cake batter, with no raw eggs (if you’re squeamish about that). It is stellar. Email me if you want the recipe.
I posted a while back on Dell taking care of me when my laptop was messed-up. The hard drive of our desktop computer went kaput on Sunday. I did a chat with Dell on Sunday and had a new hard drive installed yesterday. I was having trouble getting the drivers installed and called Dell Support (based in India) and the tech walked me through the drivers to connect me to the internet. From there, he sent me to a website where he could access my computer and download all of the drivers for me while I watched. Good Times! So all the computers are up and running in the Ryan house now. Keep your fingers crossed.
I took this picture outside of my front door yesterday morning. This is about the fourth set of snow showers this week. So much for global warming.
